Research Presentation
by Rev. Dr. Leah Schade
September 9 @ 2:15 P.M. E.T. Zoom - Free and Open to All
In the first several months following the 2025 presidential inauguration in the U.S., ministers are facing multiple crises in their congregations and communities brought on by draconian executive orders, an administrative coup, and the enactment of Project 2025. Taken together, these actions are targeting immigrants, transgender persons, persons of color, academia, voting rights, the environment, and Social Security recipients, to name a few. Drawing on survey data collected from U.S. clergy (n=1,213) about ministry, preaching, and social issues, CEL co-founder Rev. Dr. Leah Schade will share findings about clergy stress and burn out as well as strategies for resilience.
